Sun Tzu said “An army marches on its stomach”. This clearly implies navies don’t. The Art of War is like jazz, it’s about the wisdom that he didn’t write down!
i love how casual it has become for the media to say that, even under normal logistical circumstances, the US military relies on concerned family members back home to send them food and basic supplies.
like the regular US mail can’t deliver, so they’re eating shoe leather, toothpaste, and the soldiers don’t have armor plates.
paper tiger on fire in a dumpster.
My god, even the war efforts are on foodstamps
I just realised that a lot of “survival food” like chickpeas and rice, stuff that keeps well for a long time and is also really cheap, is much, much easier to make a delicious meal out of than whatever this is. This isn’t even likely to be the cheapest option for the US military to feed their troops, this is probably on their plates because of a grift.
retvrn to hard tack
Gonna join the “storing my liquor ration in my gun barrel so I can get fucked up once a week” gang
The US spends 50 morbillion on the military each year but they just can’t hide the sheer contempt they have for their soldiers lmfao
Napoleonic soldiers ate better than this, lmao wtf
Humans hadn’t invented food this shitty yet
Imagine how well everyone could eat if there weren’t pointless wars, and they were in the Middle East as comrades rather than invaders. Idk - I just feel like there might be something to be said about diplomacy and cooperation over…whatever this is. Legit this should be what they serve on crapitol hill while they’re cordoned off until they actually pass legislation (although this would probably lead to even more unhinged laws- so maybe not…)
Reminder that the mutiny on the battleship Potemkin was kickstarted by maggoty meat.
maybe the toilet clogging wasn’t sabotage after all
Before deployment: steak and lobster
After deployment:
Incredibly cruel to serve them British food
“We should rule the waves for centuries, let’s copy the british model”
“Not like that”
Hegseth just sent the Memo they need more rum, sodomy, and the lash.
I guess this food will make the sodomy easier. The lash will seem less painful too. But will they even get any Rum?
Imagine being fed ship insulation & carrots, hardly waiting to get sent to combat & die for the elites.
that looks like shit you would skim out of a grease trap
Wtf even is that? Usually only school children get served “food” like this.
It’s honestly impressive, looks worse than any canned food I’ve ever seen, and that includes pet food.
I had to think back to 1970s elementary school to have any context for what I’m seeing here, and even then there wasn’t anything quite this bad.
Such awful food! And the portions are so small! Lol have fun invading Kharg Island or whatever, I’m sure Naval logistics planned for you guys well in advance don’t worry.
It’s “maximum lethality” sweetie not “maximum food rations”
Maximum lethality actually referred to how lethal their logistics and planning are for US troops.
Lethal for the troops’ hemorrhoids and stomach mostly.
May the child bombing vessel drift the seven seas, unlit and rudderless, denied every dock until all supplies are utterly gone, nothing left of the crew but hungry ghosts trapped aboard forever.
