It is still one of the cheaper options, but $2 for a soft taco, and $6.80 for a crunch wrap supreme is criminal IMHO.
À la carte items just don’t make sense anymore. For the price of a Crunchwrap supreme you can get one in a box with a soft taco and drink. Their non combo pricing is whack.

As other said the Craving box deals are the only way to go at Taco Bell. The $7 box is acceptable quality and cheaper than any other meal option aside from the $5 biggie bag at Wendy’s
$10 gets you a couple of black bean burritos and that’ll hit the spot any time of day

I’ve been to America and there’s so many fucking places that just have such better food for a much smaller price point.
Frankly, short of trying to get the highest quality shit (and before going for weird ass foams and art pieces) you’re getting mogged in taste and quality. You could get the same portion for less, but you can also walk out of the restaurant without feeling awful.
Of all the things that America doesn’t do well, food is high up on that list because it’s so visceral and so obvious to me.

Government employees still have to eat, taco-bell is pretty cheap (prominent mayors will “wine and dine” people at genuinely expensive locations as part of the job all the time), and his salary as mayor is still “his money” once paid out to him, even if the money initially comes from taxes (it doesn’t really, but whatever). Otherwise this is just saying government workers can’t spend their own incomes as they please.
