The maddening thing with AI is there is no good outcome. Either it works and a shitload of currently employed people lose their jobs, or it’s a dud and the market collapses. There’s no winning for the worker.
Ultimately no winning for the state, either. Unless they’re willing to murder 100s of millions. And well, they probably are.
