    I don’t have a problem with it in general - your body, your choice! Surgery that’s well done is often undetectable. And also, surgery can be gender-affirming. I do think sometimes people use it to fix perceived flaws and end up unhappy with the results because they either had unrealistic expectations or there’s something deeper going on in their self-image.

    I’d always hated my nose and swore I would get a nose job as soon as I could afford it. But I’ve been able to afford it for a while now and never followed through. I guess in the intervening years I stopped hating it so much. I still don’t love it but I just don’t care so much anymore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
