The number of times that I have seen people refer to the American contribution to WWII as cowardice, meaningless, etc, is too damn high. 400,000 Americans died in that war. Read a fucking history book you ignorant, insensitive fucks.
Some people are smarter and think more independently, while most tend to accept the dominant narrative, because thinking for yourself is emotionally and mentally draining. I would bet my left nut that the average lemming is smarter than the average redditor.

I’d like to add that USians should stop invoking or giving so much of a shit about WW2 in general. Real “back when I was playing in the big game” Al Bundy vibes. You don’t get to ride that righteousness forever just because our government landed on the right side of history one whole time, more than five decades ago.
