Retail was an experience, and there were lots of lovely regulars of all genders to even out the weirdos. The few regulars who asked me out, it was less creepy and more like “Dude. Come on. You should know better.”
Though I was pleased to see how transparent the pick up guys were, I sometimes worry about falling for that shit. Nice to know it’s about as thinly veiled as their raging insecurity.
