What about society exactly do I not understand?
Yes. And I’m tired of pretending otherwise.
Doesn’t matter because it knows how to use it.
I’d argue human developers also enjoy finding bugs, they just don’t like HAVING them.
a lot of people will sit on their ass all day and take advantage of it
And they’d be entitled to just that. That’s the point: nobody being forced to work just to survive. You don’t understand the concept.
True, I just wanted to phrase it in the terms of capitalism.
At first, maybe. But that’s the neat thing about capitalism and the free market: the first to lower their prices again has a huge advantage. There’s always an incentive to operate at minimal profit.
Why wouldn’t UBI and capitalism be able to coexist? It makes MORE capitalism possible, as it were, expanding its principles of supply and demand to fields such as employment. Right now, people need a job, any job, and if there’s no job that fulfills your needs, tough - you take the shitty one and you’ll like it. With a UBI, you could shop around for the perfect job, choosing the best offer, or not “buy” at all right now because the market doesn’t offer what you want and it’s not like you’re going to starve without a job. Employers would be forced to make YOU an offer that YOU can accept and if they can’t operate under these circumstance, tough. Capitalism in a nutshell, really.
That makes so much sense and I will stop looking for “clues” now lol. You’ve put in a lot more work than I have and I salute you for it.

It looks like this now:
He must’ve quoted proverbs 28:6 somewhere? “Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, Than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.”
Edit: wait. In the OP he has 286 posts. What.
Tea is an inefficient delivery system for caffeine. If there’s no caffeine in it, it’s a warm beverage that relaxes you. So why would the industrious German worker bee want to bother with tea bags when coffee is right there? Unless of course the bee is sick and needs to relax, doctor’s orders, to get back to work as soon as possible. ;)
My husband is Northern German, close enough to England that he was horrified at the thought of making tea in the microwave. And he doesn’t even really drink tea when he’s not sick.
If you wish to ask websites to respect your privacy, you can use the “Tell websites not to sell or share my data” setting. This option is built on top of the Global Privacy Control (GPC). GPC is respected by increasing numbers of sites and enforced with legislation in some regions.
So is the difference that DNT was asking for no tracking at all while this GPC setting allows for tracking data to be created but not forwarded to third parties? That seems reasonable, not all “tracking” is malicious. Though I wonder why, if DNT isn’t respected, any other vaguely similar setting would be.
It’s really just “this thing happened” and nothing else, as if they’re reporting on events where they’re just innocent bystanders. Instead of saying what they did, it’s “hey, we didn’t do [detail]”.
Having words is not the problem. I have all the words, the best words, big beautiful words, they’re just stored somewhere in a very logical place for them to be that I don’t remember and I don’t want to use the fresh ones coming in because look at them they’re shiny and new don’t touch them. (I feel weird using words I just read because I get self-conscious. It doesn’t make sense, no.)
… Oh shit. I too shall do this.
Doesn’t matter. Green Mario is perfect. Working class, deals with literal shit daily, is scared of everything, and still does the thing. Red Mario has it easy, he’s not scared of CEO Bowser, he doesn’t have to overcome his fear - because he’s confident. Which is cool, good for him. But Red Mario is unachievable as a role model. Be more like Green Mario who does it scared, who does it alone, who does it anyway.
