My understanding is that PieFed gives you access to everything on Lemmy without directly supporting tankies.
If we’re fine with resorting to violence to get what we want, we’re no better than them. If you kill a murderer, the number of murderers in the world remains the same…
BUT, this doesn’t mean we should never, ever resort to force as a final, last, desperate act, but only when there’s no other option.

21·6 days agoAre you… going out of your way to be obstinate? Or are you just selfish? Our (society’s) resource availability affects all of us. It’s not “problem solved” if I choose not to use LLMs. Either way, our water, power, and land going to datacenters absolutely still impacts the rest of us, so yeah; we’re allowed an opinion. Not too mention the skyrocketing cost and scarcity of RAM, SSDs, GPUs, computer chips, and more… But don’t worry, I’ll still hire you to pick carrots when the AI bubble bursts and all of this goes away!
