Even if you add all the 3rd party votes to the Democrats instead Kamala would still have lost to Trump.
(Denji knows about the possession right)
I don’t think he does, Asa never explained it before, Denji was probably really confused when she Tyler Durdened herself
Yoru is evil but she makes me laugh
Motivational quotes with Yoru
We keep joking about PC Gamer being a communist magazine but holy shit we’ve straight up got links to marxist.org in the article
Ah, I have the season pass too I just uninstalled cos I needed space on my hard drive for other stuff haha
I guess I meant more as in that Chapo’s audience has moved further left than them, and are looking for more “serious” analysis.
Deprogram is more internationalist (which is good) but it also tends to draw out the class reductionist (which isn’t as good).
Do you have the new Spheres of Influence dlc? Thinking of reinstalling to try it out
Based on my launch experience (some of the patches and dlc change up the game a ton):
It’s not that hard to pick up once you figure out the UI. But also most of the game is fucking around with different inputs until you get the results you want e.g. building up enough infrastructure so you can set up paper mills so you can set up universities so you can expand the intelligentsia so you can start passing liberal laws, etc. In the late game everything becomes kinda automated and you end up just kinda sitting back and enjoying your little communist utopia.
The biggest points of friction were all the “gamey” elements they put on top of the simulation, which end up with weird results like France balkanizing into a million different states after the Paris Commune or World War 1 starting because Brazil declares war on Argentina. But I dunno how fun a pure simulation would be so idk
As for the users, there’s overlap between r/TheDeprogram, r/LateStageCapitalism, r/WorkersStrikeBack… and here and Lemmygrad, but I don’t envy anyone who stayed on reddit cos the place is hella astroturfed right now, between Zionists and Liberal “Harm Reduction” Dems (I know I repeat myself, but still).
Yeah, I think everyone who was a fan of Chapo/Trueanon in 2016 has moved on to The Deprogram / Blowback / Democracy Now! etc.
I still tune in to Hasan and Chapo if a topic interests me, for things like movie reviews and stuff.
(Also Hasan has been blowing up in my feed because of all the Twitch drama atm)
Did they say something cringe recently?
I still listen from time to time. Not to my knowledge. Hell they’re one of the handful of left media figures who’ve been consistently good on Palestine.
Probably going to need an effort post for the show as a whole but imma give it 1 more episode to make sure i’m not off base
Ah whoops thanks for the correction
(In order) Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Papua New Guinea, Micronesia (or maybe more specifically the Soloman Islands), Fiji and the cherry on top of this shit sundae New Zealand. Half of these are Muslim majority countries. IMAGINE
I notice Singapore is excluded which is fucking hilarious considering that it’s the only country in this region that has an actual history of espionage against Australia.
The biggest problem with the show was that it just became incomprehensible- by the end no one knew what any characters motivations were, never mind who was aligned with what faction. So the ending just became this slog where the characters might as well have been ad-libbing a script.
Also yeah the entire “the MC decides that the only solution to his problems is The Final Solution” is one whole other can of worms.
The only good thing that came out of the show was Egoist (and the music in general).
To be fair to Ranma that story is basically 35 years old now and was considered progressive back then
I haven’t heard anything about it one way or the other (and I haven’t seen it myself yet) - either it’s played it safe and stuck to the source material (which is weird, because if I’m not wrong they changed the setting of the story to Saudi Arabia, because the show is funded by Saudi oil money or something really whack like that) or there isn’t really anything going on beyond Super Robot Saves the World.
Everything I’ve heard about SEED Freedom makes me think that I’d rather dig my own eyeballs out with a rusty spoon than watch it, though.
