How are you supposed to synchronise the packaging of medication that comes in different quantities … and can only be bought just before the current repeat runs out according to the first time it was dispensed?
I’m seemingly at the pharmacy every other week and frankly I’m sick and tired of it.
Help! Any life hacks I should be aware of?
I’m not sure where you are, your insurance or what pharmacy you use. But when I was a pharm tech, we could pretty much always dispense a smaller quantity than what is prescribed, and leave the remainder as refills (except for C2 medication in the US). So if you’ve got one script for 45 days, and another for 30, get them both filled for the 30 day quantity.
You can also do this to align your meds. Say medication A is picked up on the 1st and medication B on the 15th. Both a 30 day supply. When you pick up medication A, ask them to fill only a 14 day supply. Then on the 15th you’ll be due for medication A and B.
