This just makes me think of every disorganized shit show job I’ve had where there aren’t enough people to do the work and everyone is burnt out and nothing works because nothing ever gets maintained etc etc. Except instead of working a grill while hungover its the largest port on the west coast and now it’s on the news

It’s getting a bit rare to have it not be the case, at least in my current job. Every vendor we rely on is just as chaotic and fucked as our place, and all the places we provide services to are equally bad. Just up and down the line, one big pile of failure
