the Iranian military attacked a crowd of protesters, killing ~88 and injuring between 205-8,000. The violence increased the unrest, leading to a general strike and the Shah fleeing the country in January 1979.

The massacre, known as Black Friday, began when thousands of protesters gathered in Tehran’s Jaleh Square for a religious demonstration, unaware that the government had declared martial law a day earlier due to widespread political unrest.

Some sources estimate that 4,000 people were shot down by tanks, guns, and military helicopters. The deaths were described as the pivotal event in the Iranian Revolution that ended any “hope for compromise” between the protest movement and regime of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

The massacre led to widespread protests, and a general strike in October shut down the petroleum industry that was essential to the administration’s survival. The Shah fled Iran in January 1979, clearing the way for the Iranian Revolution, led by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

sorry i am late. quick update on my life:

same thing. i still have the job. i was insulted for working slow when i am waiting for them to help me. and if i try to do things on my own i fear breaking everything. also the systems slow down to hell and back and if i try to get calls i only get shouted at i hate my life i wish all this never happened

the first month was nice, people took turns to do calls and emails. every morning we talked. was nice. until production came along

i hate my life i wish all this never happened

    when will i get paid

edit: i am looking for new jobs as we speak. i hope i can also move out so that my family won’t bother me ever again and i can get therapy and fix myself to become the betterest person than the person y’all know me as.

attempted to find python junior dev (but i’d need to relearn python lol, big rusty), romanian to english translation and the most probable of all: linux sysadmin. my friends think i am a linux wizard or something, and that job could be fine i guess
