    So that means that, if history repeats itself, President Newsom will challenge Jake Paul to a fight and die in the ring, followed by a rapid succession of short-lived administrations. Sounds entertaining lathe-of-heaven

      On a one hand, it would be as a farce, so instead of assassination we would probably had at best one of those impotent impeachments.

      On the other, USA is basically constant Pertinax->Didius Julianus (or more accurately Didius->Didius->Didius at nauseam) power transmission via money, but not much palace coups out there.
