    Best tires for the city, they say: slicks that puncture if you look at them wrong.

    The city: where every street is littered with glass.

    I’ve been lucky but I think it helps that my tires are a little knobbly.

      the only “they” possible here is the fixie community and you really have to stop listening them for a variety of reasons.

      I rode a bike with mostly slick city tires for years without a single puncture, then I had incredibly shitty luck and in the span of a few months managed to hit like 6 glass shards. I just got this bike a few weeks ago agony-wholesome

      Best tires for the city are schwable marathons or continental contact plus. Slicks are nice for well paved roads with no trash, so no where.

        highly dependable on location. if you live in 70s new york those marathosn are for you, otherwise every other tyre made heaps and bounds as per puncture protection without feeling like you’re trying to drag a sand over rock
