I hope they make it kind of old school. Not modern Avengers Avatar over the top spectacle. Please keep it simple, like the old ones, especially the first!

It is being directed by Christopher McQuarrie. He is Tom Cruise’s/Scientology’s guy….
McQuarrie’s last four Movies are the Mission Impossible movies, prior to that he directed Cruise’s Jack Reacher movie.
All he does is big hairy and loud…
I must admit that I enjoyed the last three Mission Impossible movies. The action scenes were master class of film making, spectacular and at the same time extremely well thought out and clearly structured. Where Marvel gets into this chaotic overkill MI felt grounded.
If not completely old school then that would be the way to go.
I mean, he did Usual Suspects, so he’s capable of a more restrained style. But that was a long time ago, and probably not what the studio hired him for on this.
He wrote Usual Suspects. Noted pedophile Bryan Singer directed it.

In “Space Cowboys” they had younger actors lip sync to Eastwood, Sutherland et al.
I’d like to see something like this.
King Conan tells a few tales of his younger days to warriors around a fire on the eve of battle.
This is the only way it’ll be any good, no way Arnie can pull off Conan anymore.
