I’ve met way more people who made hating vegans their whole personality than I have vegans who mention their lifestyle outside of the context of being offered something non-vegan.

And how many have we seen make bacon their whole personality? Or Ron Swanson wannabees who think eating a steak is gender affirming care. No, this is a ridiculous argument. Every group of people is going to have self-righteous idiots.

I have met way more people who were annoying vegans, and I’ve never met anyone whose personality was “vegan hater” or “bacon”.

        Subjective experiences are crazy!

Subjective experiences are crazy! They’re also subject to interpretation as filtered through lived experience. How many non-self righteous vegans have you met that you didn’t even clock as vegan because they didn’t mention it. You’ll never know!
And also I don’t believe you on the second point because most of us came here from reddit where ‘le narwhal bacons at midnight.’ “vegan hating” and “bacon” were the entire personality of r/all for nearly a decade.

I’m not sure what your point is. You just listed off examples of my statement as though it changes the fact that it’s the self righteous vegans who are getting the hate.

Imagine being surrounded by billions of people who are doing something you believe is not only wrong, but is morally abhorent… Just actually imagine it for a second. If it helps i can send you some footage of chicks being sent down a conveyor belt to be ground up alive as a byproduct of the egg industry… for starters

I see… if you want, I can give you tips on how to avoid conversations about topics you’d rather remain willfully ignorant about.

I’m not willfully ignorant. I’ve seen it in person.

Humane euthanasia isn’t necessarily pretty. The most humane way to kill a pet fish or small reptile is a hard stomp. The blades that kill the male chicks are moving so fast the chick is killed instantly.

It’s gruesome, yes, but it’s quick and painless.

Yes, voluntary human euthanasia is directly comparable to factory farming chickens and sending 350 million baby chicks into an industrial meat grinder as a byproduct… and I am sure all 350 million of those deaths are quick and painless. What could possibly go wrong on a regular basis sending live animals down a conveyor belt into a mechanical death machine? And I’m certain the people involved in the process treat these animals they are slaughtering literally all day long-- as living, sentient beings capable of suffering and not as objects moving down a conveyor belt into an industrial meat grinder. I am also sure that all of the footage that exists (despite laws preventing people from taking such footage) which would directly contradict this narrative–is fake.
