They jailed some Russian mobsters for trying to kill her, and the ruling said they were acting on aa bounty from Iran. No clue if that was legitimate or just the typical “we can attribute anything we want to the West’s enemies without properly documenting it.”

Australian politicians are making similar claims about them supposedly being behinds attacks here. Which as far as I remember, are claims which ended up being debunked every time they came up in the past.

In fact I seem to remember an entirely different secret third country that was responsible for some of the previously claimed “iranian sponsored” attacks.

Aus isn’t getting directly involved in the missile flinging part of this (yet) but Pine Gap is critical intelligence infrastructure for US and Israeli operations, so they’re trying to finger wag about the conflict while also keeping the public pacified. So to be clear, despite the Aus government’s public position on this we are very much involved in these attacks and whatever blowback we have coming is long overdue.
