AI fucking up your prompt in inconsistent ways is actually a feature because it turns prompting into the world’s shittiest skinner box.
Yeah, it works on gambling rules, you sometimes get the image you want, sometimes it is nothing like what you asked for, so you’ve got to keep pulling the lever and hoping for the jackpot.
And much like gambling addicts will have a “system” where they follow superstitions to win, AI image generation has that built into the prompts, where you can feel like you’re influencing it better, but the odds of getting what they are actually looking for don’t really change much no matter how much they try to refine their prompt, it’s all about maximising the number of spins (which is also why so many of them enable simultaneous image generation)
