this style of posting from libs is the exact same brand of capitalist realism as Wall-E.
The point isn’t to act on the problem, but just point out the problem ad nauseum to ensure we’re locked into bystander-ism.
Same thing that drives this trend of filming acts of state violence as a means of resistance; if we convince people that watching on the sidelines is the same as fighting, then which one will they choose?

So much this. People’s lives having become so mediated through “tHe ScReEn” makes me so

This reminds me of the time kakarot fought a machine people worshipped called luud… Which sounds a lot like luddite. Ha… Hahaha life is odd

Goddamn you’re making an excellent point here. Then I saw your username and it all made sense. Clearly you appreciate actions more than mere words. Good stuff.
?
I assumed your username was referring to this because I’ve sometimes seen it referred to as AANES. I guess it wasn’t.

Peasant revolts were common before capitalism, it’s not surprising they don’t even mention them in common education. You don’t want the proles to get any funny ideas
It also serves this silly narrative of human history never progressing except for modernity. The way most people learn history it seems that everything was the same for hundreds of years, then poof, new economic and political system sprung from nowhere and took over everywhere.
Yeah this is why for a long time I was never really interested in learning about history before the 18th century or so. I absorbed this attitude of “nothing really happened before the industrial revolution, everyone was primitive and stupid.” Took reading The Origins Of The Modern World to cure me of that.
This is helpful when pushing the idea that because the Soviet Union/China/Cuba/etc didn’t immediately achieve full communism, communism doesn’t work.
How very convenient.

Hey, it’s a good thing that there are enough people with “class-based” grievance for it to appear on the radar, even if we might disagree with most of them on what class actually is (i.e. not tax bracket but ownership of means of production, etc.)
yea ig we’d save more money if we put all the poor people in slave prisons and not just the black ones, awesome
This is going to be the party line of democrats.
: “Throw minorities in jail for the crime of being brown? What makes you crackers so special?…”
: “We should be throwing poor people of ALL identities in prison for porky to have more choices in free labor!”Dems are the stupidpolers of the right.
