That was rather obvious wasn’t it? A coworker and I were discussing this recently, the timing answers it for me. Why they didn’t think the massive tranche of music released then bragged about, more or less, didn’t attract the ire of said entities is beyond me. Music piracy attracts the music sharks. Movie piracy attracts the movie sharks.
Spotify, Sony, Warner and UMG all piled on AA.
also, BRB, new week, new domain
.li
Wow, so music giants sued a small domain and got relief from that domain, with said domain not told of the allegations, not able to respond or argue anything.
Because they could release pirated copies for free. Aren’t courts supposed to give the accused the ability to respond, to get compulsory witnesses and see the evidence used against them, (yes it’s in the constitution.)
This is more oligarchic repression through our captured courts, run more by the federalist society, and less by other sold out hacks appointed to be not quite as bad.
Whatever the merits of the case, getting judgements in secret, because they could release millions of copyrighted works, seems to be a perversion of the plain language in the constitution that laid our a level playing field, one big money right here is setting the precedent of shutting their accused out of that field entirely, on top of the massive outlays in lawyers needed for civil defense nowadays.
It’s not like Anna of Anna’s Archive would be willing to show up to court anyway. It would be impossible to do so without breaking opsec.
I just hope she gets into aggregating manhwa since Kakao killed Bato. Seems like none of the other site runners can do things right.
Doesn’t matter, it’s not how the courts are supposed to run per the constitution. The accused get notified, the ability to contest allegations. It’s a betrayal of the rules, for the powerful operating in bad faith as much as not.
Judges always act like little fascists. They even have their own bs “contempt of court” shit they can throw at someone, while they act like contemptable dogs.
they have earned my contempt thousands of times
Whatever happened to lib gen? Their domains don’t work for me any more.

5·2 months agolibgen.li works fine for me. The page I get from .li says it and .vg, .la, .bz, and .gl are still up (but .lc, and .gs have strikethrough on them)
