“Have you tagged”? These tags are by users, and not federated or shared between Boost users. If they wanted to tag you, they didn’t have to try, it’s built into boost (but not shared like you may be implying)
Boost is just an app, I don’t think there’s a specific “they” here… it’s not even an instance. You’re on the community for Boost, the Android app. You’re basically saying that all of us here told you that.
Pretty sure some boost users tried to have me tagged as a Nazi at one point. Might have been because of my support of Ukraine.

It’s equivalent to one user placing a sticky note on your back only one said user can see. If you’re good at memorizing usernames it’s the same shit
