The Juche gang to Bidenomics pipeline
The Juche gang to Bidenomics pipeline
You might love the visuals in the movie “Last and First Men”. It’s just 70 minutes of cool B&W shots of the anti-fascist monuments in former Yugoslavia with Tilda Swinton narrating a sci-fi story about the humanity’s future.
Give her the symbolic presidency to save democracy! It might be our last shot!

I also feel like an odd one out about the Burnout games, but that’s because I played Burnout Revenge instead of Burnout 3, and apparently those are different games?
if you need me i’ll be doing terrorism in Freedom Town
democrats will sprint to the right and the right will stop not satisfied, and so they will sprint farther, and so on
I’m paraphrasing a comment I saw elsewhere, but every time the Vote Blue type evokes some fake moral superiority that leftists have (e.g., “You think you’re more moral, but XYZ”), they are just telling on themself that they know they are morally wrong. They know their vote is not a moral act - they might even know they’re supporting something that contradicts their moral code - and they hate that we see that.

Yup. I think the ideas that people are wired to selfishness and competition, and/or paradoxically, are solely motivated by material gains and profit, is complete bullshit. I don’t think you can tell any reliable story about “human nature”, when >80% of social science research comes from neoliberal states and their institutions in the last 40 years…

oh i also want to link to this iconic bit from a Kwame Ture where he owns a on non-violence:
I don’t want to speak ill of those who courage and morals lead them to take on such an act (and maybe I am misunderstanding their intentions), but I find it puzzling to think that an act of protest like self-immolation could change the minds of the rulers who’ve spent the last year proving they will legitimize, facilitate, and take pride in mass killing, debilitation, and displacement.
These people have proven to the world that they have no regard for human life or human dignity, so how could more suffering change their minds?
It’s questions like these that send me back to re-read Aime Cesaire and Frantz Fanon, who I think are essential authors. Cesaire to understand colonization; Fanon to understand decolonization.
the way Kamala talks reminds me of the bit from Nathan For You when he does a job interview but he’s getting fed answers from an 8 year old
her way of piling clauses on clauses on clauses when she speaks is like nails on a chalkboard.
