It’s not rational, it’s virtue signalling for the owning class. It’s saying “we are pious believers in the neoliberal order and we are happy to treat our employees like shit”.

Until they eventually do
Camelcase in python, ew, a fundamentalist would do that
If someone “perceives they are losing out” because of doing something positive for women or minorities then that says a lot about their worldview, they are the ones responsible for polarisation there.
Agreed on the campaign though, it was the dems’ to lose and they royally fucked it up.
Yeah, the demographics of voters are just made up, huh? They are the overwhelming supporters of the far right. Don’t wanna be painted like that? Don’t vote for fascists.
I’m a cis white guy too, for the record, and I’m not saying it’s something inherent in skin colour or having a penis that makes someone an asshole. But it’s classic bully behaviour to tell people lower on the hierarchy “look what you made me do”. You want things to be less divided then you should start by accepting the simple facts.
No, straight cis white men will get hurt economically and through living in a degraded society, but they will not be forced to carry pregnancies, or be murdered because of their race or their sexual orientation.
And they know that. As long as he hurts those others even more they’re fine with what he does to them.
Yeah the thing is the average trump supporter will be hurt less than everyone else (and that’s the whole point)
The mac comes with 256 GB though, and 256 > 1
Support for M1 and M2 is pretty good now but M3 is not quite there yet and it’ll probably be years before everything works nicely on M4, sadly
Just start wearing a “make fascists afraid again” hat and let him do the escalation (or something more subtle if necessary in your workplace)
How do you pronounce e.g. “squid”? It’s pretty close to skwid imo
It is, to within 5%, just make the equals sign squiggly and you’re good
Wow, I guess cryptography is just fraudulent, who knew
It’s “mushy peas”, they’re prepared from dried peas treated with baking soda (and then coloured green to look less unappetising). They’re kinda good though.
Don’t worry, people here yell at you for not using profane language because “you can swear on the internet”, they’re a weird bunch.
Your approach and understand seems realistic and solid. Go with any of the beginner-friendly distributions, as people have said, Mint or Ubuntu are good choices, because most of the support information online is available for them. Because Mint is based on Ubuntu, instructions for Ubuntu will almost always work on it too.

The Linux mint installation guide is IMO very clear and easy to follow, so I’d start there, and for the first time you can just go up until the “the live session” section and play around with it before deciding to install. The guide for Ubuntu is very similar.
Good luck and have fun!
Agreed with the privacy concerns but
So, 15s saved per person. Which is handy, but 25 seconds fits squarely in the “blazing fast” category anyway.
This is huge when there are five 787s worth of people in line for ten passport control machines, it’s the difference between waiting half an hour in line or five minutes.
It is the standard means of passport control in Europe and UK, just with the passport added, but all by machine. Once they are convinced the biometrics are good enough they’ll do this too to speed things up.
That’s not true, otherwise distillation would be impossible. You lose some water along with the alcohol but not the same percentage of both.
