Anyway, tofu is pretty good and may be better than chicken in some recipes. I recommend buying the good stuff (fresh tofu from any Asian grocery store should do, don’t buy western discounter brands). Maangchi has great recipes, this home style tofu is great too. Easy as well.

Where I’m from people rent empty apartments - there’s no furniture, rarely a kitchen, and sometimes not even flooring. Most buildings are older than 100 years and have options for both gas and electric stoves. People can rent and still decide how they want to live.

Wood insulates heat a lot better than concrete. Sounds like your house might leak. Have you considered adding a layer of insulation before implementing technical solutions?
