its called MFSKpic not quite SSTV more like fax
but will they combust?
You are the living singing and dancing form of oxidation, that u can think about that is just a side effect.
There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one’s life in the face of work that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. I was crazy and could be not working. All i had to do was ask; and as soon as i did, i would no longer be crazy and would have to work more. I would be crazy to work more and sane if i didn’t, but if i was sane i had to work. If i work i was crazy and didn’t have to; but if i didn’t want to i was sane and had to.
I got a hotair soldering station ima try my best :D But i think most of the cheap ones arent bga but look like this one:
I took a look into those “toy” tablets in the 40 bucks price range, most of them seam to have a clearly visible Wireless chipset for wifi/bt, guess ima try to desolder and hope it still boots after.
I am looking for a solution that can run AndFLmsg, sure i could just run Fldigi on a RPi but the solution has to be usable for people who need a simple interface. Using a SBC to emulate Android apps with Waydroid would also be a option but i try to keep the emulation layers to a minimum for power consumption reasons.
U can put apps and data on it via USB otg, that wont be a problem.
Cutting the antennas is far from removing the problem, even without antennas those chips still make a lot of noise in the 2.4ghz band. Id woud have the desolder the whole wireless chipset, i mean i have the soldering equipment for that, but i kinda doubt that a normal android will even boot after the Wireless chipset is gone :/
Audio Modem
Android on PC sounds good, the power consumption would be high tho, and i would prefer a smaller form factor. But a old netbook mainboard + bliss OS could be small enough.
The Librem5 would be perfect, if it wasnt for the price
NVIS propagation
Is a interesting topic, basically what i am looking for. Problem being is that right now i am restricted to license free bands.
27mhz can skip if the conditions are right, im guess i just find out if it works. Used some web SDR to check the CB band round here…not much going on so at least there wont be much background noise
Thank you very much for the answer! The power difference between the 0.25W Lora and the 4W FM is huge yes, thats why i kinda hoped Thor over CB would give me better range in a environment where line of sight is not given and there isnt a Mesh network in place for the LoRa.
I am trying to make a low speed text chat connection at a distance of 20-40km, with half a city between the Radios. I looked into LoRa based standalone devices like the T-Deck, but what i saw online was sobering regarding the actual functionality out in the field(besides super duper ranges in elevated line of sight).
The next idea was just geting a cheap used CB-Radio and hooking it up to AndFLmsg, would that be realistic to clear the distance of 20-40km with half a city between it?
I mean if that dosent work out there is still the non licensed sub 9khz band…
Yeah lets use the phone number of a middle man to sign up…sure u wont forget to relock the number every week so they dont get the power for account take over since they manage your number.
“Account recovery”, yeah but by whom?
“Find contacts”, dont you know who u wana talk with?
“be found by other people” ???
theatrics, they are already in
this post inspired me thx
