Neat, the trees host microbes that can capture additional gases besides CO2, and they’re looking into which trees host the most effective microbes. Seems like a lot of discoveries lately have been about beneficial microbes like some gut bacteria or the ones that breakdown plastics into basic compounds. Maybe they’ll find one that breaks up misfolded proteins next.

I love this change log, they have great demos of the changes and good descriptions of why they changed it and it is all human readable. Godot devs are awesome.

Have 2 sets of goals, one set is measurable and achievable near term, this can be as simple as going to bed on time or doing one proper pushup or saving $5 this week. The other set of goals are for your dreams or ambitions, have something in mind worth fighting for, they don’t have a set timeline and you may not ever reach them but if you do you’ve accomplished your life goals or set up the future so someone else can get there. The important part is to have the goals and start to figure our what steps you need to get there.
Don’t feel guilty about just enjoying life, if you enjoy getting your guilty pleasure just drop the guilt part, that’s not to say go ahead and spiral out of control but you are allowed to enjoy things that are within your reach.
People will offer to help you with stuff. fucking let them help you, people like to feel needed and feel better when they get to help you, stop feeling guilty about accepting help. you are letting them help so that they feel good about themselves and you might accidentally form bonds with other humans.
It is ok to be bored, healthy even. Do absolutely nothing once in a while, no music, no phone, no background noise. Just let your mind wander and decompress. I use my evening commute for this, except on science friday, imma learn about some shit on fridays, like how it is ok to be bored sometimes.

You can tell whatever story you want from statistics, it could be that people that get CT scans have a higher chance of getting a cancer diagnosis because they are getting medical care and others just go undiagnosed.

The point isn’t that CT scans cause cancer, that was always a risk with any ionizing radiation. The point is that radiation exposure from CT scans varies wildly based on the operator and you should do what you can to reduce your exposure, but don’t skip a CT because of a scary headline.

Time for a rewatch. I love the chill vibes of this show and yet it has so many badass moments.

still playing kerbal space program, still tweaking steam input to handle all the keys I need to press. Feels like my steam input setup is as jank and hobbled together as my rockets, although I kinda feel like the original keyboard controls were already kinda jank.
I’m getting ready to land on mun, I put a lander into orbit at kerbin because I was too wobbly with the whole ship in one go and I wanted to try docking. I get the command vessel to sync up with the lander and gently bump into it with my docking port, was super thrilled to learn that when I took the wobbly rocket apart to make 2 launches I must have removed the docking port on the lander so now it’s in orbit and slowly spinning after I bumped it. Now I need to do some extra missions to raise funds to try again.

LinkedIn lunatics can’t understand this. If your whole work culture revolves around who you network with and how your profile looks and not mutual respect then I am happy to work for someone else. Honestly the people that crave power the most are almost always the ones that should not be in charge of anything. I’m fortunate to have an awesome job and totally understand you might need to take a shit job just to get by but the lunatics don’t understand that it doesn’t have to be this way.

I think you should pop the case open and see if you can push the button directly on the mobo, idk if you can get at it with just the rear shell off but if it functions then it very likely is your aftermarket case is no longer lined up, you might be able to manipulate it back or add a tiny shim or try putting the stock one back on. If it doesn’t function then at least you’ve narrowed down the problem. If you have a hot air soldering iron you might be able to apply heat to just the button area and it might reseat itself on the pins but I wouldn’t go down that road till after the warranty is up.

People seem to like cyberpunk 2077 so maybe people still had hope for humanity when gta2 came out, it was just before its time.

Been playing kerbal space program on my steam deck. By playing I mean spending all my time editing the controller layout. So far I have an assembling layout, a flying layout, and a i just need to be able to push any letter or number sometimes and the virtual keyboard pops up in the background and dismisses itself if I try to switch to it layout which is radial menus of all the keys. I can switch back and forth between these with action sets. Steam input is kind of amazing tbh. Maybe I’ll try to do a mission eventually, just gotta tweak my controller setup a bit more.
