  • Agreed. Whether it was one on Enterprise or an alien planet, etc. Ex: When Worf asks Picard to represent him as his Cha’Dlch on Qo’noS, the crewman who had a partial Romulan lineage on trial and later the witch hunt turns to Picard as a traitor, Q puts humanity on trial, when Riker is tasked to prove Data is not sentient, etc. This subject definitely needs a slice in the pie.

  • If they were smart they would have continued the series to keep kids interested and then ween them onto the older series. Increase fan base = increase monetization of products.

I too am saddened by the loss of the potential this show had. I loved the colorful animations. Even my husband, who is not a fan of Picard or Discovery, enjoyed Prodigy with surprisingly little criticism (he has a lot of opinions contrary to mine about the nature of the newer generation of Star Trek series).

I am holding hope that maybe they will bring it back at some point or perhaps another production company buys creative rights/licensing (not sure how it works) and revives the series.

  • This one is also my favorite. The love without being able to express love. The growing pains Lal endures. And my favorite scene, when there’s a couple kissing on ten forward and Lal yells “he’s biting her!”. Just tickles me. Likewise, when Lal goes to try out kissing with Riker and Data asks “what are your intentions with my daughter?”, Great writing. Then the utter sadness in the end. This episode takes you on a beautiful rollercoaster of human emotions, yet they are just out of reach by Data.
