Dude are you kidding me? Youthanasia is an excellent album. It’s not their best, sure but it has so many highlights. Marty Friedman absolutely rips all over that album. One of his most memorable solos ever is on The Killing Road, Addicted To Chaos is one of Dave’s best lyrical efforts IMO and his voice is as good as it ever would be on this record.

Youthanasia is 100% worth listening to. I’m just as much of a fan of their pinnacle records just like everyone else but this album is hugely underrated.

The sheer power of forklifts is unbelievable. Consider what we’re looking at for a moment. That was likely an ~8000lb lift going ~ 5mph that did this. A blunt metal fork straight through a steel beam. The absolute danger of a careless driver on a forklift is rarely understood.

I loved being a forklift trainer but the stupid shit the other trainers got away with when teaching people was unreal. No appreciation for the magnitude of the responsibility of driving those machines. The trainees suffered for it. Fucking human wrecking balls driving around the warehouse.

I certainly have. I ride often enough.

My knees were busted too. Took me a while to realize I was overtraining at the beginning. The ramp up to 5k took me 10 weeks when it should have taken 8 as I was all sorts of busted up after thinking I could just complete the goal early. I was wrong. Slow and steady won that race and every race after that in my experience. Injured myself a few more times on the way to 10k and again on the way to 21.

I seem to have leveled out so next year’s goal is 42.2 for a full marathon distance.
