I feel like 75% of Mastodon are people talking about Linux. If you don’t care about Linux you feel alienated. I enjoy Mastodon and Lemmy, but the lack of more diverse subjects gets to me if I browse for too long.

Update: I took your advice and purchased a laptop for Linux, and now I care about it! Problem solved.

I love Linux and Windows 11 (I use both daily). It’s quite tiring to see that the usual discourse about Windows is to switch to Linux, instead of actually about using Windows.

Don’t let people here make you feel like you have to defend yourself for the things you like.

“I love windows” is a phrase only uttered by the truly deranged. But if you love it you love it.

In most other spaces, I have to defend my use of Linux. It’s refreshing to have a place where it’s more or less the default.
