When posting something you’ve posted before to a new community, or posting at the same time to many communities, you can cross-post the same post to the communities.
Make the first post, then use the cross-post button for any additional posts. You can even edit the post to make it different fora each community (as long as you don’t change the media or link url).
Lemmy will then know the posts feature the same content, so it can avoid displaying the same thing multiple times in people’s feeds.
It also enables people to see the other communities and comments across the posts, facilitating discovery and discussions.
