Violet Evergarden had gorgeously detailed backgrounds too
Violet herself is ever beautiful, let alone her garden.
What anime is that?
Lord of Mysteries, as mentioned in the alt text. The textures are detailed; the movement style/motion is also astonishing. It’s a total show-off by animators. You will see many greatly animated scenes, which you can term as extra (or unnecessary). Moreover, it’s highly rated. English dub recommend; since it’s based in a Victorian empire. Currently only Crunchyroll provides best bitrate (at least for this particular one); it may not look so good on lower bitrates.
Violet Evergarden, no idea if it looks “better”, but it does look absolutely gorgeous.
Maybe Gankutsuou?
