Data should pretty much never lose though. Someone over at reddit Daystrum Institute has done several write ups of why the poker doesn’t make any sense most of the times we see it

There is no best strategy for unlimited poker. But how to play that game in a world without money?
I’d imagine it’s like Penny Poker, you do it for fun using basically worthless chips to represent your score so to speak
Yeah the “money” is just points like lots of games have.
Chips represent sexual favors.
If only we could agree such ideals make us stronger as a species, least be honest with each other… And hopefully others if we get to meet them.
