I’m thinking of things like “we can’t go back to the way things were” (because of capitalism, settler colonialism, and white supremacy), “Trump is the result of the US political system at work”, or “What they do to Palestinians they’ll do to you”.
Idk, I’d like to leave something more informative than stickers, like the way evangelicals leave tracts, and there’s not much good information for zines to print and distribute. It’d be cool if PSL or someone had resources like this.
I’m not a very good writer, so anything you’d recommend would be helpful!
Shit just refining, updating and printing Matt Christman’s rant about climate fascism and genocide from 2017 would probably crack the barrier for many of them as it did for me (although I was always sympathetic to anarchism and communism).
This is really rad, and would actually make a punchy couple page zine, with something like:
- liberalism will kill us all
- fascism comes from the failure of liberalism to deal with crises
- in crisis, society can either survive through collectivization or genocide
- the rich choose genocide (reference to Palestine?)
- crises are already happening
- What should the rest of us choose?
- what will you choose?
I posted it on the new lib resist subreddit lol https://www.reddit.com/r/TinyProtest/comments/1k14a58/comment/mnlyhtf/?context=3

The Publicly Traded Corporation: what goes in, what comes out
An analysis of labor, profit, management, shareholders, labor discipline, and price gouging, especially how to identify the money that’s going to people that didn’t work for it instead of people who did.
Oooh I just remembered People’s Republic of Walmart. You might find some inspiration there about how these massive corporations use their own perverse form of central planning.

I never heard of zines, are they like pamphlets?
Probably my best knowledge would be on the environment or something, and while I still need evidence for it. I have a hunch there’s been so much sabotage on renewables that would have happened organically even in a free market, because I want to divorce the idea that “capitalism” and “the free market” are synonyms. While I disagree with the latter, I still respect Adam Smith as a writer and made great strides in the field of economics, I simply think Marx is the next step.
Kind of hard to make a zine what even that explanation warrants a whole wall of text, but could be fun.
Basically Just pamphlets, this looks like an ok overview: https://libraryguides.nau.edu/creating/zine-making
I think it’s more of a thing for diy punk/art, they’re not always political. I just like the idea of something small and easy to make.
i can’t remember the last time i touched a magazine or newspaper
Are you familiar with zines? They’re more like a tract than a magazine.
the zines i’m familiar with were at least a few pages most of the time, the tracts i’m familiar with are the fake $20 bills churchies use to stiff servers with the unintentionally hilarious comics on the other side
