Fmr. Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett just gave a talk at Princeton, during which: 1) someone, likely a protestor, pulled the fire alarm; 2) Pro-Palestinian activists loudly disrupted the speech in violation of university policy
Oh no, not university policy!
A university (read: asset management fund that incidental to its operations, each year gives a few 20somethings diplomas) - a university policy has been ‘violated’ - who cares? They breach their own policies against their students and employees all the time. Policy isn’t law it’s a guideline an organism sets itself. A policy isn’t worth jack shit. A policy is nothing more than an advert to others that is exemp from advertising standards.
Noooo you can’t protest like that, you’re only allowed to protest in ways we can easily ignore and don’t inconvenience us in the slightest
Listen, I can handle a little quiet disruption every now and again. But you get “loudly” at your disruption, and shits about to go down. We don’t tolerate that in this town.
