These labor leaders are organizing for 2028. Cooperation across unions and sectors—if carried out on a large scale—would be unprecedented in the 21st-century United States.
There’s nothing about climate change that’s exponential. Things are going to get worse, sure, but it’s not going to be some sort of Armageddon scenario.
It’s not Venus by Tuesday but all it takes is a few breadbasket failures, a few lost cities to catastrophe - LA anyone? Or aculpulco Mexico getting hit by a cat 5 hurricane that was a cat 1 12 hrs before? Not to downplay aculpucos suffering but what if that hit a major economic center? and society as we know it will start falling like dominoes. All it takes is a few cascading failures and we’re fucked.
There’s so many unforeseen things that can happen. People just think “oh the ocean will rise a little”. No, towns are going to be lost one by one by climate catastrophes until we can no longer rebuild and people are left to fend for themselves. Imagine a wet bulb event in India? How many millions would die? We’re getting closer and closer every year. Humans can’t exist outside certain conditions.
You’re looking at collapse in real time but you’re too privileged to see it. One would think a major city burning would open peoples eyes but I guess they need to lose their own house to get the message.
You’re making some big assumptions about climate change and bird flu there bud
Climate change isn’t going to kill hundreds of millions of people in the next 4 years.
I know you think that prediction feels safe…
You clearly don’t understand exponential effects.
