I am not a US-citizen nor am I a woman (if I was, I would probably be a little too old to need that kind of help) but, very naively I’ll admit it, this is really not the kind of guide I would have imagined would become so urgently needed.

It seems a very well made guide, with a lot of very useful suggestions.

Which makes me feel even more sad to realize this is indeed useful and very much needed.

By not posting about it online or over the phone. Use a Tor browser to search it out if you can

much safer is better than completely safe

we take what we can get, and for all intents and purposes right now, the tor browser will solve their problem.

You haven’t convinced anyone to get Tails yet. Try telling the Facebook user in these comments.

There’s really not much you can do. There’s just too many cameras in the public spaces. If any government official wants to see who’s visited an abortion clinic, they can just have the local traffic camera company tell them.

We need to ban the government getting around the 4th amendment by partnering with private companies.

Depends on how advanced the surveillance systems are. Yeah, I would consider driving to be impossible to do anonymously - but when it comes to walking or using public transport, depends. I am not sure just how well they can track a person with a covered face on those.

they can, and China already publicly has been for a few years using gait analysis, i.e. looking at how you walk. in his book, Edward Snowden mentions putting a rock in his shoe to change up his gait while walking in Russia

Yes, I am aware of such technology - they announced similar capabilities in our existing surveillance system. I know that it is most likely not as advanced as China’s, because that’s how it usually is here. However, it is not clear just how good it is in practice - at least in some cases, they’ve been overselling it (at least in regards to recognizing obstructed faces). So I am not sure just how dangerously accurate said gait recognition is, especially since they have much better facial recognition to depend on.

yeah for sure, i doubt it’s incredibly accurate on its own. if you’ve got a unique body or an injury that affects your walk or something i bet you’re pretty screwed though (i know i’d be an easy one). plus our police love using incomplete pseudosciences, e.g. ballistics forensics and polygraphs, so i’d still be keeping it in mind

Maybe move to a country where politicians don’t want to return to the medieval age and where the president is not seeking revenge?

USA has become so third world country. They should make decisions based on scientific information not based on some conservative beliefs.

third world means neither usa, nor east (Russia-China) sympathizer. This phrase is also commonly used to refer to countries with developing, weaker economies. Now USA is neither. Americans can deny, ease, erase, paint the history built on racism and conservativism, it will always rise up to the top. This is exactly what happened again. Shame on everyone who voted valid. No matter for who. Invalid voters and non-voters did right. Democracy has always enabled the most vile to rank up to the top. We heard about Peistratos and Hitler, who were enabled to commit heinous crimes against humanity, while being democratically elected. This is why anarchism, despite its vulrenabilities, is still the best system, that actually works very well in smaller communities.

Pm me I know of options depending on your location, age, and how far along you are. Don’t feel too bad. Sure its not a good thing but its smarter if it’s a bad time in your life to care for another person. Financially or Mentally and physically. I know of multiple online and discreet services. Its better to raise someone with great care and sound mind for both sides than to be financially incapable and bringing someone in with no means of care for raising a good human than to wing it.
