This is some gnarly fall as a reminder for every Grigri user not to block the mechanism and to keep the brake hand down and on the rope at all times.

    Annnnd this is why I’m not a fan of the GG and its clones. The alpine Up has been my most pleasant experience for lead belaying. If I could figure out the muscle memory for the Matik, that would be a good option too
