Context:
Façade is an artificial intelligence-based interactive story created in 2005 by Michael Mateas and Andrew Stern.
The engine does have some quirks, however; for example, saying the word “melon” at any time will result in the player being kicked out immediately, due to the slang term referring to a woman’s breast, despite other meanings not used in a vulgar way.
Is that why the characters are offended? Not because they’re being told they can’t elope?

I actually really like cantaloupe, but I love Facade more, so I guess I’m upvoting.
Was there a sequel made to Facade? It was really interesting, but my typing speed was slow and I couldn’t keep up when I tried it.
Surprised no one has with modern AI, although I guess we have alternative chat based games now.
I’m not convinced a sequel made today would actually be better. Still have no idea how this was made 20 years ago
