Why haven’t you tried going door-to-door to every business in the downtown area?
Boss is probably busy, but the cashier giving you the app will tell them how cool it was that you brought your own pen to fill it out then & there.
I was shocked ask the local Domino’s who had sign about hiring and they handed me a paper application. Said if my son wanted a job it was the best way. One side had the part he would fill out and the other side has the question that would be asked by the manager.
So still the best way to get a job. Got my middle son to ask the local Wateraburger for a job. They show him where to apply online and went ahead and schedule his interview at same time.
He is now becoming a manager and only been there month under a year.
But for most jobs it is getting harder and harder to find a job especially with the AI bullshit. Why I had to pay someone to make my resume get pass the AI nonsense. If you can get pass that then you will would start to get job interviews.
But the second part is pay. I have always been lucky to always find work. But finding work that pays a damn is a different story.
I have a coworker who was laid off a few months ago. They finally applied to a movie theatre as their safety and got a rejection text.
