Supergiant Games, the studio behind the Hades series, said they were surprised by a fan-made mod that brings the first Hades into Hades 2. The project is called Zagreus’ Journey and was made by a modder known as NikkelM. It recently reached version 1.0. The mod adds all the regions, enemies, and bosses from the original game, letting players face them while playing as Melinoe, the main character of Hades 2. It also includes new character interactions and some extra content.     So the mod author is quoted as saying that it doesn’t contain any genAI graphics/sound/etc., but what about the code?

      Aren’t the Hades games pretty much all Lua scripts on top of an abstacted engine? I don’t think you’d really need AI to make this work.
