If it’s a model that uses an SD/SDXC card you could always take it out and put it in read-only mode (slide the little switch on the side of the SD card itself.) They’ll assume there’s nothing to see and move it.
Because they are usually in computers, not accessible. SD* are mostly made for cameras, occasionally swapped out and then you ususally only want to read from it.
