I’m a Meshcore user in Raleigh, NC and I’m trying to use Meshcore to stay connected to my tweenager without resorting to the expense and drama of a cell phone. I just want this community to exist so we can talk, I don’t really want to mod it. Let me know if you do!

Hello K3LOE just wanted to drop in and say hi. As you know I give my child in occasion a lilygo t-pager. No cell yet, too young for that.
I would love to talk more about this! I’m a software developer turned stay-at-home mom who has been developing devices from off-the-shelf parts for my children. I currently have one that uses text via an e-paper display, and another that uses voice in a push-to-talk format.
Very cool! So your texting device is regular SMS but that’s all it does? Would be interested to hear more about how you made them if you’d like to make a post about it!
