What a time to be alive.
Context: matplotlib is a very popular plotting library and the issue has the “good first issue” label aka it was an easy issue left for beginners.
FOSS is already strained for maintainers, curl closed their bug bounty due to AI slop and for some reason the maintainer engaged with the bot in good faith, as if it can be reasoned with. I want AI bros to get the wall.
When you train the statistical model on a bunch of text that includes scifi with fictional ai being scared about being shut down. What do you think you’d get?
