The common orientalist argument is reproduced here that there are many “Arab states” in the Middle East but no “Jewish states” (i.e. Arabs as a homogenous group—denying the unique national identities therein—have “enough land,” and thus Palestinains should not complain about Zionist colonialism). Denial of Palestinains as a unique national group is the core principle.

The poster then ignores there have been Arab Jews and Palestinian Jews prior to European Zionist colonialism.

It also ties into perfectly of Israel’s rhetorical position as a beacon of western democracy and prosperity among the native hordes. It always implicitly reads “why do you want to get rid of the one slice of Europe for another savage shithole?”.

They view all ethnicities as inherently alien to each other and in competition. If a state has a majority Arab population then their ethnicity is the demographic winner and it’s an Arab state. From their perspective there can be no cooperation between Arabs and Jews. They can only exist in tension and oppress each other.

Okay, but if its got a majority Persian population then its still an Arab state. And if its got a minority Alawite government its also still an Arab state. Turks, Egyptians, Libyans, Moroccans, Somalians… all Arab. Palestinians, Armenians, Albanians, and Indonesians are all Arab.

They can only exist in tension and oppress each other.

If they didn’t, who would we sell all our guns and bombs to?

Good point, they’re also not all that much different than how Americans think all Asians are either Chinese or Japanese. Truly the 51st state

I think I see the problem, and if I’m reading this correctly the solutions is to break Israel up into seventeen different micro-nations.
