Basically, there was a discussion about how instances have rules and Feddit also needs to abide by local (Austrian) law to not get in legal trouble. And I get called a Zionazi for saying that you cant just up and call for the massacre of civilians, regardless of which side you are on. It’s also ironic for Dessalines to mock me for sticking to rules and laws to protect our instance.
I also got recently permabanned (reason: Golden Rule #8) from Ye Power Trippin Bastards after I posted Dessalines banning me on .ml despite not having posted anything there in three weeks.

Using triple quotes isn’t Nazi shit? Explain. It sounds like a replacement for the Nazi shit of triple ( )
It sounds to me just like any other use of triple quotes. Making it clear that you aren’t directly quoting something, you are quoting it mockingly.

Yeah, this isn’t a nazi dogwhistle at all, it’s a really common way to quote something mockingly.
Thank you for linking that search. I tried to do the exact same thing, but it wouldn’t search without a word in the query for some reason.
It probably is not Nazi shit because using extra quotes is a very common way of doing mocking scarequotes. I would advise anyone to not use specifically triple for this reason, not because it’s ““antisemitic”” but because it can be concern-trolled that way, and you can just use two or four for the same effect.
??? Explain what? Yeah submarine sounds kinda like subhuman as well. Shakes head disapprovingly at marine biologists
It’s probably not intentional by NEO, but the triple parenthesis in the context here does seem a bit sus.
Looks to me like Zionist vs crypto-fash infighting.
There are no triple parentheses. Did you actually look, or are you going off comments about it?
Triple " is frequently used the same way so much so that I mistakenly said parentheses in my comment instead of triple quotations.
When someone argues that you are conflating things, and then you conflate them in your response, pointing to that conflation does not work as a data point against that you’re conflating them. It doesn’t automatically make you wrong, either, but it doesn’t help your case.

You’re not wrong I was just pointing out that within the context I have certainly seen it used like that and I usually just use single " and let the context make the sarcasm clear. Didn’t mean to start an argument and def not defending goat. Just looks like everyone in that thread sucks.
I don’t think that always works. We probably wouldn’t need /s if it did.

Also fair
i think most of the time that’s a skill issue on the part of sarcastic poster.
we also have sPoNgEbOb case as a more elegant indicator if necessary
No they are not. You wouldn’t have to be calling them “parentheses”. Multiple quotes are used to indicate sarcastic use or criticism of the use of a word.
Idk I’m not invested in this I have 100% seen it used that way.
Impeccable time waste, thank you.
