I don’t think 2anaon has the same reach and potential as the first. Some cranks who were always gonna watch the spectacle will latch on, but I think most have decided there’s nothing for them in federal politics.
The chuds I interact with tend to be pretty checked out and/or baffled by what Trump is doing. One guy in particular (spent the whole Biden admin going “Lol, what a brain-dead moron”) has pivoted to “Why’s everyone so angry with one another? Why can’t we just get along?”. Mostly they complain about the state of the economy, but now it’s just vaguely all the politicians fault, rather than the Democrats specifically.
