Chess guys always have the worst fucking politics, except Karpov, he’s cool
A lot of the Soviet old guard that dominated the game for 70 years were based (Kasparov excluded). Especially Botvinnik, that guy was incredibly based.
Just knew about Botvinnik’s funny little pawn structure against the English, didn’t know he was a cool guy as well! Will have to study it in his honor
