im the same way. i have mostly worked for employers that generally take most of january (up to the 31st) to distribute w-2s. but generally by the end if the first week in january i have a folder for the previous year and have begun generating/aggregating documents.
myself and my stepfather are the ones like this.
i had some untaxed income this year so i think im gonna owe for the first time in a long time. i guess the upside is that i got the tax free loan this time.
