I was one of the five people on Earth who got the infamous “Cow Tools” Far Side cartoon. Cows don’t have opposable thumbs, they have only one finger on each limb, so their tools would be crude and unusable.
It wasn’t particularly funny or clever. I said, “heh” and went on to the next comic in the newspaper.
Child nudity is much darker today. I’d like to have a look at Watterston’s hard drive if he’s still around. Last I heard he was doing the soulful white man with a guitar circuit around the country.

That’s my reaction to every Farside cartoon.
Eh, he had some bangers. But like Charlie Brown, Garfield or Popeye the comics were a product of their time and don’t age well.
Feel like Calvin & Hobbes still holds up.
