It occurs to me that perhaps the reason we’re building this pointless wall is to keep refugees fleeing our planned wars in the future out, and this is the reason there’s bilateral agreement on it.
That and climate refugees.
I think this is a really big one. The architects of US policy–not Trump probably, but all the less brain rotted people around him, and definitely Obama/Biden–know how bad this is going to get. Even if they are publicly sceptical to appeal to their mouth-breathing base, they know the truth and are quietly working to prepare for a future in which the world has been rendered unliveable by their lack of action.
Thats how I see it going. They’re gonna sell this abundance bullshit until its clear that this situation can longer be contained and by then they will have taken measures that will be… Nasty
but also, not just future wars lol
